Hey guys! It’s been a crazy week so far. This is my second semester as an interior design student. My first semester was this summer and I took 2 classes. This semester I am taking 4. It’s challenging but I absolutely love it. I’ve never been so fulfilled before and it’s such a great feeling. I can’t wait to share my projects here!
With all that being said, I also realized that I won’t be able to post 3-4 times a week. I’m going to try 2 times a week and depending on my work load I will post more. Now on to exciting news!
Remember this living room mood board I put together…
Well we purchased a sofa this past Monday! It’s not the same sectional sofa but the color and sectional style is similar.
I found her at the Macy’s Furniture Gallery here in Miami. I just wondered in before heading to class. Turns out they were having a sale. She was already on clearance for about half off the original price with an additional 10% off. I also received another 15% off. It was a really great deal and I couldn’t pass it up.
Here she is in our living room. I was a little worried about the fit, but she works perfectly. I was also able to snag the rug is the moodboard as well. Right now, Rugs USA is having a 80% Off sale for Labor Day. I purchased the 8 x 10 Rugs USA Tuscan Moroccan Shag Rug! It was 80% off and then I found a coupon for an additional 50% off. The total was $197!
I also had my boyfriend hold up the black and white abstract art I purchased from West Elm awhile ago. It’s not going to work. They are too small for the length of the sofa. Any suggestions? I would like to keep them, so if you have any ideas let me know.
I’m really happy with my purchases. I can’t wait for the rug to arrive so the space will feel a little more complete. I’m going to look at the CB2 smart glass top coffee table tomorrow. I think it will work perfectly. It’s really low and it’s chrome frame keeps everything minimal.
Lastly, make sure you enter the Diamonds Candle Giveaway. It ends Sunday!
Alright, I need to get back to my school work. I’ve been on campus since 7:30am.
